A WEATHER warning is in place today for ice, with the met office saying that roads, pavements and cycle paths may be dangerous.
Rain and hill snow moved eastwards last night with ice likely to bring some travel disruption and there is a chance of injury from slips or falls on untreated surfaces.
There is a possibility that journeys via road and railway could be disrupted, you are urged to check before travelling.
The Met Office issued the warning for much of the country and you can see their six top tips for staying well this winter here.
To keep up to date with all weather warnings, visit the Met Office, for rail travel updates, check with Scotrail and for trunk roads, visit Travel Scotland's website.
