AYR Rotary had an ‘unco guid time’ as they hosted their annual Burns Supper.
Honest lads and bonnie lassies turnt oot at The Savoy Park Hotel for an evening celebration.
Club president, Leuan Isaac, welcomed members and honoured guests.
Scots music was played by piper Fraser MacArthur, and the address of the Haggis was acted out by Kenneth Dickie.
Many guest speakers including the club’s very own Burnsian Scots speaker Jimmy Begg delivered poems. An educational talk was given by former GP Charles Douglas which took everyone through the history of Burns from Mauchline to Edinburgh.
President Ieuan, in his vote of thanks, congratulated all those involved for their expert performances and gave well-deserved credit to Hazel McCully for organising such an enjoyable event.
The evening finished with the traditional singing of Auld Lang Syne.
