THE Dates for this year’s Boswell Book Festival have been revealed as the hugely popular event gets set to celebrate 10 years.

This year’s festival will take place on the weekend of May 8-10 at Dumfries House.

Organisers have praised the book festival – the world’s only festival dedicated to Biography and Memoir for maturing into a ‘major cultural event.

Founded to celebrate the life and work of famous Auchinleck writer, James Boswell, the festival has been held in the beautiful setting of Dumfries House since 2013.

The festival has attracted some memorable names over the past 10 years including Katie Adie, Judie Dench, Joanna Lumley, and Andrew O’Hagan.

Caroline Knox, Director of the Boswell Book Festival said: “Celebrating 10 years this May during which the Festival has grown up into a major cultural event but lost none of its youthful vigour or intimacy, I eagerly anticipate this year’s line-up of stimulating and entertaining speakers.”

The full line-up will be announced on March 18 and is expected to include a host of ‘diverse and rich’ stories again this year.
