A PUPIL at Garnock Community Campus is among four students to be selected to attend composer workshop sessions with Scottish composer, Jay Capperauld.
Naomi Calley from North Ayrshire along with Connor Bristow from Inverclyde and Euan Kemp and James McCorkindale from East Dunbartonshire were chosen from the West of Scotland Schools Concert Band after auditioning successfully. The aim of the project is to encourage talented young musicians to develop creative skills and techniques to become more effective composers. With Jay’s guidance, they’ll each compose a piece of music for Wind Band which will be performed and recorded in the summer.
