Ayrshire's very own Love Island contestant has revealed her thoughts following her departure from the show.

Jamie McCann, from Stevenston, failed to couple up with one of the boys and missed out on entering the main villa.

The 24-year-old answered the questions we all want to know the answers to about her departure.

Do you have any regrets? Would you do anything differently?

"I stayed true to myself. I feel like you can’t fake a connection. I got on with all the boys as friends, we all had a laugh. But there wasn’t anybody that I really fancied. I always think, what’s for you won’t go by you, so if you’ve not found love here then there’s obviously something better coming along for you."

Who is being genuine as a couple?

"Molly and Callum and Priscilla and Mike. Molly and Callum, it’s as if they’re each other’s home. Watching them you could tell they really liked each other. I can imagine them working."

Is anyone playing a game?

"I don’t think anyone’s necessarily playing a game, but I don’t think Natalia really likes Luke M. She did say she takes time to get to know people. But I think he was really, really trying with her and I don’t know if she was giving as much back. But it’s really hard to tell. You hope people wouldn’t play games."

Whose actions surprised you the most?

"Finn – he was so loyal to Paige. I think it proves how much he genuinely likes her. He was the only boy who didn’t share a bed with one of us girls. He surprised me the most, but in a good way."

How would you sum up your time in the villa?

"I think it’s been a magical experience. I’m happy I’ve had this experience."

Would you go back in if you could?

"Of course I would go back in – who would say no?!"

Although she has left the villa, the Herald are sure this won't be the last we see of Jamie.
