A SPRINGSIDE woman who uses nine different names and seven different dates of birth has admitted drink-driving in the town - in an uninsured car.

Angela Orr was found to be nearly four-and-a-half-times the drink-drive limit on the A71.

Court documents reveal Orr, who locked up over her first adult conviction, in 1995, when she was 20, uses a host of different names and dates of birth.

As well as Angela Orr and Angela Catherine Orr, the documents reveal her alias names to be Angela McKee, Angela McBreen, Angela Lee, Julie Ann Boyle, Lee McKee, Amanda McDermott and Angela Catherine Orr McGill.

And Orr, who was born in May 1975, has also previously claimed she was born on three other dates that same month, May 1974, December 1975 and May 1978.

Her most recent offence came to light when she was caught in a Ford Fiesta Studio she was not insured to drive, near the Milgarholm Roundabout, on January 23.

The details emerged this week when Orr, 44, appeared in the dock at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in connection with the case.

Orr, of Kirkland Terrace, Springside, pleaded guilty to two of the three charges she faced.

She admitted drink-driving, by having 97 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath- nearly four-and-a-half-times the 22mcg limit.

She also admitted driving while uninsured, while her not guilty plea was accepted to a charge of driving without being the holder of a valid licence.

Procurator Fiscal Depute Kim McGregor said: “At around 1.50am, officers were on informed patrol, in a marked police vehicle, travelling East along the A71 towards the Milgarholm Roundabout.

“They observed a silver Ford Fiesta and had cause to stop the vehicle.

“They approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver, the driver was the accused.

“She spoke to officers and they noticed her speech was extremely slurred, and there was a strong smell of alcohol from her breath.”

She was given a roadside breath test, which tested positive for alcohol, and was arrested and taken to the police station, where she gave the 97mcg reading.

And checks revealed she was not insured to drive the three-door hatchback.

Sheriff Michael Hanlon called for background reports to be prepared by social workers, ahead of sentencing, and adjourned the case until next month for that to be done.

He continued Orr’s bail and banned her from driving, but the exact length of her ban will not be decided until the next court hearing.

Orr could be caged for as long as a year when she returns to the dock to learn her fate.
