NHS Ayrshire and Arran staff will be taking part in this year’s Scottish Workplace Journey Challenge which takes throughout the month of March.
The challenge run by Sustrans and Transport Scotland is designed to encourage people to travel to work by walking, cycling, taking public transport or car sharing during March.
Anyone in Scotland can take part and you can keep track of your success and even compete against other organisations and individuals across the country.
Sharon Maclean, Personal Secretary, who competed in the challenge last year said: “Since completing the challenge my behaviours have completely changed, because it was such an enjoyable experience, I’ve carried on doing it.”
“The benefits are amazing, it improves your health and wellbeing. It does change your behaviours and makes you think twice in the future and about not using your car and walking more. I would definitely encourage you to do it.”
The Scottish Workplace Journey Challenge also offers prizes throughout the competition. If you would like to find out more or sign up visit: https://scotland.getmeactive.org.uk/
