To celebrate Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Week March 2 – 6, North Ayrshire Council colleagues are rewarding the winners of a ‘Talent Without Limits’ competition for their hard-work and dedication.

To recognise the outstanding efforts of the council’s modern apprentices, colleagues and managers were asked to nominate an outstanding apprentice who exceeded expectations.

Fourteen nominees were recognised at a special event in Cunninghame House on Monday, March 2. The Modern Apprentice winner was Alice Murdoch, nominated by the Health and Safety Team with runner up Amy McCrindle from Information and Culture.

Both were presented with a certificate and a gift voucher from Chief Executive Craig Hatton.

All of the winners started with the council in 2019 after successfully completing their Pre-Employment Apprenticeship Training – a programme to assist young people enter the working environment.

Council Leader Joe Cullinane said: “We are proud to recognise and reward the outstanding work of our Modern Apprentices.

“I’d like to congratulate our winners and take this opportunity to wish all our Modern Apprentices every success in their apprenticeship and future careers.”

The council will shortly be advertising new Modern Apprenticeship opportunities. Information and support to apply will be available at Saltcoats Town Hall on Thursday, April 2, 2020 from 9am - 1pm.
