AN AYR supermarket made a kind donation of chocolatey treats to a care home just in time for Easter.

Residents at Templeton House Care Home, Ayr were able to tuck into some Easter eggs over the holiday weekend thanks to the generous gift from Morrisons, who donated an incredible 100 chocolate eggs.

Staff from the shop dropped the treats off to care home staff on Thursday, April 9 to thank the key workers for all their efforts, keeping elderly residents safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Care home manager, Michelle Sommerville, said: “ The staff where overwhelmed and appreciated the very thoughtful gift of 100 Easter eggs.

“Our residents remain well and our staff are going over and above to support them.”
