Youngsters have come to the aid of residents living at Hansel’s Broadmeadow Estate.

The Symington kids wrote heart warming letters to residents, many of whom are elderly and are unable to receive visitors due to coronavirus.

Hansel staff member Claire Kyle put out a request on Facebook to ask if any local children would be willing to write to the residents or draw a picture to cheer them up.

The charity was overwhelmed by the response as children posted letters through Claire’s letterbox so she could safely take them into work.

Kay Bell, service manager for Hansel’s Small Group Living Service said, “It’s been amazing. It’s not only been a boost to our residents but also to staff as well and has really raised some smile.”
