Two Irvine men are being held in custody in connection with break-ins and allegedly possesing weapons.
The men, aged 36 and 40, were arrested and charged for alleged invovlement in the incidents which occurerred on Mill Road between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday [May 17].
Police Scotland confirmed they are both currently held in custody to appear in court.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two Irvine men, aged 36 and 40, have been arrested for a number of alleged offences on Mill Road, Irvine between 1.30am-2am on Sunday, May 17.
"The offences included two charges of housebreaking, attempted housebreaking, and two of possession of an offensive weapon."
