The community has rallied round after COVID-19 hit Irvine care homes.

Members of the Redburn Community Hub donated a selection of pamper boxes , with Jay from the Premier Irvine Late Shop handing over 50 goody bags

A spokesperson for North Ayrshire Coronavirus Support Network said: “Some of you may also be aware that Fullarton and Greenbank Care Homes have been under a lot of pressure in recent weeks and sadly have seen more than a few of their residents pass away.

“As a thank-you to the amazing staff from the Redburn Community Centre we prepared a couple of pamper boxes, including homemade bath bombs, essential toiletries, donated ear savers and lots of goodies for them to enjoy.”

Jay from Premier Irvine Late Shop has also been busy while taking some much needed time off.

She has been making use of her time at home by making 50 goody bags. These contained gloves, wipes, tea/coffee, some cereal and a little treat.

She said: “Through these trying times it is important to stick together as a community.”
