A MAN has now been charged after a fatal shooting in the Three Towns.
Forty two-year-old Paul Cairns was shot dead in his home in Nithsdale Road, Ardrossan, after a man burst in on Sunday [May 24] before making their escape.
Police confirmed a man was later arrested in Dirrans Terrace, Kilwinning for alleged involvement in the incident.
He is due to appear in court with a report sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police spokesman said: "A 42-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the death and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
"He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court."
