Kind messages encouraging residents to keep going no matter what they are facing appeared in Irvine last week.

The Drift On by #bekind installation was thanks to participants of North Ayrshire Wellbeing and Recovery College and completed for Mental Health Week from May 18 to 25.

The project received a warm response from residents online after appearing along Irvine’s stunning Harbourside.

A statement said: “Our need for kindness goes beyond this moment in time and this is especially true for those of us who struggle with our mental health. Kindness really matters and not just while we endure this pandemic.”
