Police are advising motorists to watch their speed after a young man was charged for dangerous driving.

The 18-year-old was cautioned and charged for the alleged road traffic offence on Thursday, June 26 after he was pulled over by police at Portencross. 

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, with officers reminding motorists of their responsibility to other road users.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 18-year-old driver has been cautioned and charged with Dangerous Driving after police has cause to speak with him at Portencross yesterday.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"Remember, as a driver you are responsible for the safety of your passengers and ALL other road users."
