Pupils at Annick Primary School recently took part in The Doorstep Samba Challenge, where children could create a musical instrument or use one they already had.

The videos provided enabled the children to practise different rhythms and then play along with Tony Christie’s ‘Is This the Way to Amarillo’ on their doorsteps.

Principal teacher Stuart Brown said:"I was delighted with the standard and number of Annick pupils who participated and it was such a feelgood way to bring the whole school community together during this time.

"We are now looking forward to purchasing some new percussion instruments.”
