A weather warning has been issued for heavy rain forecast tomorrow and Saturday across Ayrshire.

The MetOffice warned people to expect flooding of some homes and businesses.

Disruption to journeys with roads and train services affected is also expected.

The downpour is estimated to bring 20mm to 30mm of rain across Southwest Scotland, and as much as 60mm on high ground.

Stormy weather brought disruption across Ayrshire over the last few weeks.

Torrential rain caused widespread flooding, including submerging a whole street in North Ayrshire, ruining homes and wrecking cars.

Last week, lightning struck two homes in the Three Towns, starting a fire in one and leaving them with collapsed roofs.
