Two sisters who have been helping the Irvine clean up Crew made a fantastic achievement recently after they earned their Green Blue Peter Badges for keeping Irvine clean.
Iona and Laurie Mcdade told the Times how they have been encouraging more people to help clean the beach.
Iona said: “I recently made a poster for the beach clean to put on the notice board and have been helping to clean the beach every weekend.
“I helped out with the fairy trail too and really enjoy being a part of the crew.”
The girls and their family have been part of the Irvine Clean up Crew for two years now and have done a fantastic job at looking after the community and environment.
Well done girls, keep up the great work.
