SCOTTISH Water have revealed a burst pipe bridge is the cause of disruption to their service in the Kirkintilloch area.
The utility firm said they have found a burst 15 inch main on a pipe bridge.
They are now working to resolve the issue.

In a statement, the firm said: "We have identified a burst 15" main on a pipe bridge as the cause of the interruption to water supplies affecting customers in Kirkintilloch."

The firm added: "Due to the location of the burst this is a very technical repair, with health and safety precautions paramount.
"This may cause some delays in carrying out the repair.
"We are in the process of rezoning our network to maintain water supplies for customers until the necessary works are completed.
"Please be aware that you may experience no water supply or low / intermittent water pressure. You may also experience discoloured water."
