Residents are invited to join a socially-distanced group litter pick this weekend as Irvine slowly comes out of lockdown.
Coastwatch will host Irvine’s first organised beach clean this Saturday, July 18 after various volunteers individual efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The beach clean will run from 11am to 1pm with attendees invited to meet at the Beach Pavillion, Beach Drive
Attendees are advised to stay in your own family groups inline with COVID-19 guidelines to ensure a safe litter pick for participants.
Please bring gloves, and litter pickers if you have them
Free crisps, juice and a certificate
will be given to each youngster participating.
Coastwatch volunteer Anne Dunlop said: “Everybody is welcome, especially the children.
“Bring litter pickers and gloves if you have them. Free juice, crisps and a certificate for each child who takes part.”
