The Barrmill Jolly Beggars Burns Club were recently invited by Impact Funding Partners to apply to The Community Wellbeing Fund.
It was set up by the Scottish Government to “help charities and others who require additional capacity to work with at-risk people who may be worst affected by the crisis”.
The club used their grant to support their local community and to deliver “bags of happiness” to their members which included magazines, quiz books and a range of groceries to help keep their spirits up.
One resident said: “Thanks so much for the lovely gifts and for your kindness and thoughtfulness which we really do appreciate.”
