A talented Irvine teen wowed national viewers when he performed on an ITV talent show last night.

Fourteen-year-old guitarist Blair Gilmour stunned The Voice Kids judges Danny Jones, Paloma Faith, Pixie Lott and Will.i.am when he appeared during the blind audition stage on Saturday night's episode.

The talented singer and guitarist, who has performed in venues including King Tuts, The Barrowlands and the Clutha Bar, made it through to the next stage.

And he even showed off his drumming skills in an impromptu jam with judges, which he had developed to help with his Tourette's.

He said: "I just want to say a huge thanks to everyone for their supportive comments, private messages and sharing of my Voice Kids posts.

Irvine Times:

"Not many Scots people (I think only a few) got through to this stage so i feel very lucky/privileged to get to the TV rounds.

"A very big thanks to my mum and dad for all that they do to support everything i do, travel anywhere (don't think there is anywhere they wouldnt get me to).

Irvine Times:

"Thanks again everyone.

After the show Blair added he "loved every second and I am delighted to be on Team Danny."
