A DREGHORN couple have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with a surprise socially distanced street party surrounded by friends and family.
Ex-Labour councillor John Moffat and wife Rose celebrated 60 years married on Thursday, July 16 with a surprise afternoon street party thrown by their nearest and nearest.
Neighbours received invites in advance and came to wish the pair, who tied the knot in Dreghorn and Springside Parish Church, many happy returns.
John and Rose also posed with a cardboard cut-out of themselves 60 years ago which captured the moment after they said ‘I do’.
