The next cohort of sportscotland Young Ambassadors has been selected and Kayla Hood from Irvine is set to help nurture Scotland’s next generation of sport leaders.
After a rigorous recruitment process 17-year-old Kayla has been named among the 32-strong delivery team.
Each year, two pupils from each secondary school in Scotland are chosen as Young Ambassadors to promote sport and motivate other young people to get involved in sport in their schools, clubs and local communities.
Greenwood Academy pupil Kayla said: “I’m really pleased to be part of the Young Ambassador delivery team. Hopefully I can help the next group on their journey. I’m hoping to gain a bit more confidence talking in front of people the same age as me.”
