A NINETEEN-year-old man is to stand trial accused of killing a 13-year-old girl by supplying her with Ecstasy.
Callum Owens, 19, of Arran Place, Irvine denies the culpable homicide of Grace Handling, from Irvine, by recklessly and unlawfully supplying a lethal drug to her on June 28, 2018.
Prosecutors state that Grace ingested the drug to the danger of her health, safety and life and died as a consequence of this and Owens killed her.
He is also accused of being concerned in the supply of Ecstacy from addresses in Irvine and at Largs train station between June 25 and 29, 2018.
Owens, who is represented by defence QC Donald Findlay at the High Court in Glasgow, denies both charges against him.
A new trial date was set by judge Lord Fairley today [Wednesday, July 29] for September 7 this year.
Grace passed away at a house in Irvine on the day school broke up for the holidays in 2018.
