The family of an Irvine mum who has been missing for two days are worried sick.

Angela McFedris was last seen around 11.45pm on Tuesday, September 15, in the Bowwater Park area.

Her daughter Maggie Todd hopes that the helicopters and dogs she said the police are deploying today will help find her mum and bring her home.

She said the family are 'worried sick' and shared a photo of Angela to show what she was wearing when she was last seen.

She is described as being 5’ 7” inches tall, fair/blonde hair which was tied up and wearing a white top with eyelash design on the front, dark jeans and trainers.

Angela lives in Irvine but is originally from Stevenston and may be in the Three Towns area.

Angela's brother Alan said she was seen heading towards the area near Spar in Lawthorne between 11pm and midnight and then possibly Stanecastle Roundabout.

He said: "Angelas was seen and heard to be very upset.

"We are all worried sick. I hope and pray my beautiful sister is found soon."

Her family say that although she had a handbag, she had no phone or bank cards with her.
