A woman in her 80s suffered serious injuries after a crash near Mauchline.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road crash on the A76 Kilmarnock road at Mauchline at around noon on Friday, [September 18].
The crash, at the junction with an unclassified road just south of Holybush Farm, involved a Ford Fiesta and a Skoda Yeti.
An 84-year-old woman, a passenger in the Fiesta, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Crosshouse hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The driver of the Fiesta was also taken to hospital and released after treatment.
Road Policing Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anything to get in touch.
“In particular, anyone who may have dash-cam footage and saw either of the cars before the crash is asked to get in touch. Please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1360 of Friday, 18 September, 2020.”
