ROADWORKS will take place on the A77 South of Turnberry next week, with delays expected to motorists.
Amey will resurface 350m of the trunk road on Monday, September 28 between 7.30am and 6pm.
A convoy system will be in place to manage the flow of traffic as the essential works are carried out.
The works are part of Transport Scotland’s current strategic trunk road
management programme.
Workers will follow strict physical distancing throughout the project.
Alan Murray, Assistant Planned Maintenance Manager said: “It is vital that we complete these works in order to maintain road safety
“This is an important section of the trunk road network, and as such is used by emergency services, freight, retail and delivery traffic as part of their essential working. This short programme will be carried out under daytime convoy working, in order to reduce the impact on communities as they recover at this time.
Drivers are advised to allow some extra time for their journeys, in order to travel through the convoy system.
