AN IRVINE resident has denied shoplifting toys, air fresheners and pet products from the mall and retail park.
Christopher Leishman, 31, faced three charges of theft when he appeared before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week [Thursday, September 17].
Leishman, previously listed as of no fixed address in the complaint but now residing in Fullarton Street, denies the allegations of shoplifting in outlets in both Irvine’s Riverway retail park and Rivergate Shopping Centre.
He faces one charge of allegedly stealing a quantity of pet products from Pets at Home on Sunday, February 23 this year.
Court complaint papers claim he then, while acting with others whose identities are currently unknown to prosecutors, stole a number of toys from the GAME store in the Rivergate on Tuesday, February 25
He faces a third charge of allegedly stealing a quantity of deodorants and air fresheners from the Poundland store in the mall the next day.
Leishman was given bail and will return for trial after an intermediate diet hearing next year.
Accused people are considered innocent unless later found or admit to being guilty.
