A SALTCOATS man admitted kicking his partner on the head and body during a horrific assault after dragging her into a flat then ripping off her necklace.
Gordon Morrison, 38, appeared before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week [Wednesday, September 17] where he pled guilty to the charge after the shocking assault last year.
Morrison, of Martin Square Saltcoats, admitted assaulting and injuring his partner at his address on June 28, 2019 – with court papers stating the offence was aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex-partner.
A second charge of threatening and abusive behaviour during the same incident was dropped by the Procurator Fiscal.
Court papers state that Morrison pursued the woman before seized her by her hair, and pushed her then dragging her by her hair into his address.
Once inside, Morrison then forcibly removed a necklace for her neck, slapped her in the face before kicking her in the head and body to her injury.
Sentencing was deferred until later this week.
