Church-goers are set to get back together for the first time since March when the restrictions began.

Irvine Old Parish has announced that permission has been granted to allow physical public worship to take place in the church starting this Sunday, October 4 at 11am.

Session Clerk David R. Whitelaw said: “There will of course be noticeable changes with worshippers asked to enter by the rear door and having to social distance within the church. Wearing a mask is also required and, under the current regulations, singing is not permitted. Hand sanitiser will be available for use and, if you’ve forgotten a mask, those are also available.

“The members of our church family are looking forward to being back into the sanctuary and offer a warm welcome to one and all who wish to join with us.”
