Close contacts are being traced after a golfer at Trump Turnberry contracted coronavirus.
NHS Ayrshire and Arran's Public Health Protection team are carrying out Track and Trace at the resort and advising those affected to self-isolate for 14 days.
Lynne McNiven, Director of Public Health, said: "NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s Test and Protect Team are vital to reducing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
"They are currently conducting contact tracing to identify anyone who has had contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
"Those regarded as close contacts are advised to self-isolate at home for 14 days by the Test and Protect Team.
"To respect and maintain patient confidentiality it is not possible to release any further information at this time.
"We would like to remind people of the symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19): new persistent cough; high temperature; and / or loss of taste and smell. Anyone who develops any of these symptoms should book a test and self-isolate immediately."
Turnberry has not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
The resort's owner, hotelier and US President, Donald Trump recently contracted the virus and was taken to a military hospital but has since returned to the White House.
