The winners of this year’s Girvan Golf Classic have been announced.
More than 100 amateur golfers took part in the prestigious competition with the 31st edition of the tournament taking place over three days.
This year, those taking part competed for a number of prizes including the ‘Maggie Milligan Trophy’ - a new trophy commemorating Maggie who passed away last year. Along with her husband Stan, Maggie ran the 19th Hole, lounge bar at the course for over 25 years.
The winner of the handicap (0-13) Ailsa Trophy was Jamie Galloway of Girvan Golf Club with a score of 188. Jon MacLean of Bearsden Golf Club was runner-up.
The winner of the handicap (14-28) Maggie Milligan Trophy was Ian Muir of Loudoun Golf Club with a score of 195. Glen Ashton of Leigh Golf Club was runner-up.
The winner of the scratch competition and the Carrick Herald Quaich was Steven Stamper of Turnberry Golf Club with a score of 197. Steven Wallace of Prestwick St Cuthbert Golf Club was runner-up.
