A TOP tennis talent from Prestwick has scooped a national award for his efforts on court.

Dominic Iannotti was awarded the 2020 Gordon Brown Memorial Trophy for Athletes’ Athlete of the Year by Scottish Disability Sport after he won four medals, including three golds, at last year’s INAS Global Games in Brisbane, Australia.

The 23-year-old, who has Asperger Syndrome, is a coach at Prestwick Tennis and Fitness Centre.

On receiving the award, he said: “I want to say a big thanks to all of those who voted and nominated me for this award. It really means a lot to me. Tennis is a big part of my life and to gain number one spot in the world for what I achieved in Australia - I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the support they gave me.”
