THREE Ford Fiestas have been stolen from drivers across North Ayrshire on the same night.

Criminals have targetted the ST model of the car snatching three, with an attempted theft of one also reported. 

The vehicles were robbed from drivers overnight between Sunday, October 25 and Monday 26.

The thefts took place at Millfore Court in Irvine, Muirpark Terrace in Beith and Skelmorlie Place in Kilwinning. 

The car stolen from Skelmolrlie Place was traced to Kilbirnie where it was recovered on Monday October, 26.

An attempted theft of the same model of car happened in Morrison Avenue, Stevenston. 

Police have launched a probe into the thefts which they believe to be linked. 

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers in North Ayrshire are investigating three thefts and one attempted theft of motor vehicles overnight between Sunday, October 25 and Monday 26.

“The thefts happened on Millfore Court in Irvine, Muirpark Terrace in Beith and Skelmorlie Place in Kilwinning. The car stolen from Skelmorlie Place was recovered on Monday, 26 October in Kilbirnie.

“The attempted theft took place on Morrison Avenue in Stevenston.

“Enquiries into all four incidents, which all involved Ford Fiesta ST model cars and are believed to be linked, are ongoing.

“Anyone with information about any of the above incidents is asked to contact Irvine police station on 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
