A FIRE started at Hairmyres Hospital late last night.
Three casualties were assessed by hospital staff.
Three fire engines were sent to the blaze at the East Kilbride hospital after they were alerted at around 10pm last night.
Police were also understood in attendance at the Lanarkshire fire.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "
We were alerted at 9.45pm on Thursday, October 29 to reports of a building fire at University Hospital Hairmyres, Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where crews assisted NHS partners with an evacuation of three wards as they worked to extinguish the fire on the first floor.
“Three casualties were assessed by hospital staff.
“Firefighters left after making the area safe.”
Police Scotland was contacted for comment.
