Poppy sellers across the area didn’t let the global coronavirus pandemic stop their annual appeal efforts with members out in force ahead of Remembrance Sunday last week.
Irvine and Kilwinning’s Royal British Legion members showed their true Blitz-spirit in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday, collecting as much funds as possible amid the current difficulties for charities and events organisers.
The Royal British Legion said members across the UK were determined to keep the collection as high as possible during this time of uncertainty – with members still counting up the cash after this years heroic efforts at the time of going to press.
Well done to everyone who supported the annual Poppy Appeal through collections or fundraising from all at the Irvine Times.
