Netherthird & District Community Council are currently working alongside Netherthird PS to try and promote safe and sensible parking at the school bus pick-up and drop-off point in Netherthird.
The joint campaign between Netherthird PS, Netherthird & District Community Council, Cumnock Locality Police and Ayrshire Roads Alliance is also using Road Safety Week to help highlight the issue.
When parking on or around Craigens Road at school bus times, locals are reminded to respect others, think before you park, adhere to the parking restriction signs and not to be selfish.
The school’s JRSO officers will also be present at the car park and bus drop-off and pick-up points.
Road Safety Week runs from November 16-22.
