A Three Towns father and son duo tested their general knowledge on a TV quiz show.
Hugh and son Kevin, from Ardrossan, were contestants on the BBC’s Pointless quiz show.
Hugh, 61, is retired from the Fire Service where he worked for 30 years.
He said he is now ‘enjoying life in the quiet lane’.
Presenter Alexander Armstrong asked him about what he likes to do in the ‘beautiful part of the country’ where he is from.
Hugh said he likes to read, holiday, do the garden and walk the dog.
The Ayrshire pair plumbed the depths of their knowledge to guess the answers nobody else could think of us part of the gameshow.
Big Celtic fan Kevin, 27, followed his dad into fire fighting having grown up in and around his dad's station.
Unfortunately, they did not make it through being knocked out in the first round on the BBC Channel One show.
Presented by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, the episode, number 47 of series 24, aired at 5.15pm today, Wednesday, November 25.
