The A737 between Kilwinning and Dalry was closed and a driver hospitalised this morning following an incident involving a jackknifed lorry.
Police attended the scene on the A737 at Dalgarven Mill around 3.25am this morning, January 7.
The male driver of the lorry was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.
The road has now reopened.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "Around 3.25am on Thursday, January 7, officers were called to a report of a jackknifed lorry on the A737 at Dalgarven Mill.
"The road was closed while the lorry was recovered.
"The male driver was taken to Crosshouse Hospital and the road was fully reopened around 6.30am."
