A discount giant has now opened its largest Scottish store in Irvine's retail park.
Home Bargains officially opened its doors to customers last week - with the 32,000 sq.ft store boasting 1,184 bays and a garden centre, making it the chain's biggest Scottish store.
Paul Downie, store manager of Home Bargains Irvine said: “I’m very excited to be part of opening this large store in Irvine, and it’s clear the customers are already very excited too.
"The staff and the development team have been outstanding they have gone above and beyond to get us to where we are.
"It has been a real privilege to watch the new team bond and deliver a great looking store.”
The store was recently given permission to sell alcohol from the outlet after the Times reported their plans in July of 2019.
Home Bargains won permission last year at a council planning committee to change trading rules in the former Homebase premises – so it could sell different types of produces.
At the time a statement lodged with the council said the Home Bargains store in Irvine was trading “very well,” which was why it needed a “larger presence in Riverway.”
