Two teenage boys have been reported in connection with recent vandalisms at the North Ayrshire Cancer Care base in Kilwinning.

The duo, aged 15 and 17, were reported after police were made aware of two instances of vandalism, one on January 22 and again on February 14.

The windows and doors of the building were smashed in these incidents which left elderly volunteers 'distressed'.

Enquiries carried out by local officers resulted in two youths being referred to the Children’s Reporter Administration in connection with the incidents.

Inspector Andrew Dolan, locality inspector for Kilwinning said: "These types of crimes are understandably of concern to the local community and I would like to thank them for their assistance during our investigations.

"Acts of vandalism and antisocial behaviour can reflect negatively on a local community and working together we can help prevent such activity.”
