A teenager allegedly attacked two people in Irvine town centre, leaving one permanently disfigured.

The 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named due to his age, is accused of assaulting a man, while acting with others, by punching him in the head, pushing him to the ground then repeatedly kicking him in the body in Bank Street on January 24 last year.

He faces second charge of assaulting a second man in Bank Street on the same date by repeatedly punching him in the head with a knuckleduster, causing him to fall to the ground.

It’s alleged he then kicked him in the head and body to the victim’s severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

The teenager, who's address is listed as Airdrie, denies the charges and will return to court this year.
