THE latest lockdown easing measures will see primary pupils return to school on March 15.

During today's announcement, the First Minister said the next lockdown easing measures will be introduced on March 15 when the second phase of school returns come into effect.

From March 15, all P4-7 pupils will return to school full time.

It is also the plan that all secondary pupils will return after the Easter holidays.

Ms Sturgeon says the Scottish Government will consider the acceleration of lockdown easing in Scotland amid "encouraging" data suggesting the rate of new coronavirus cases is declining.

A total of 1,634,361 people have received their first dose of the vaccine in Scotland.
