VOLUNTEERS at Cranberry Moss Community Centre have been working tirelessly for months to set up a shop to help families afford groceries and essentials.
And now, after all their planning, Linzi Bingham and the team at the centre in Pennyburn are just about ready to open the doors of their community shop.
This will be Kilwinning’s second community shop with the Woodwynd Wee Shoap opening in January.
Last year during the first lockdown Linzi and the team helped families in the community with food packs and even hosted smart budget cookery lessons for families to learn how to cook with the food parcel ingredients.
Now, they will be offering a weekly shop for £3 with larger families being able to double up to get more groceries.
