Police are still on the hunt after a man needed hospital treatment in an assault in Kilwinning.

The 34-year-old man suffered injuries in the serious assault in Highfield Street, Kilwinning earlier in the year [Friday, January 22].

The victim later attended hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police CID detectives did not release a description of the attacker following the serious assault – but confirmed to the Times that enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 4.20pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 officers were called to a report of a 34-year-old man having been assaulted on Highfield Street, Kilwinning. The man attended at Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing”.
