With guidance surrounding outdoor non-contact sport having recently been updated, outdoor fitness and exercise classes are back up and running.

A range of classes are now available, with up to 15 people able to take part.

Here are some of the outdoor sessions now taking bookings across Ayrshire:

Elite Fitness Studio, Kilwinning

Elite Fitness Studio is offering a range of outdoor classes alongside its online sessions.

The outdoor classes include bootcamp, Zumba, Broadway Boogie and Clubbercise.

Classes cost £4 each, with a £36 monthly pass offering unlimited access to outdoor sessions.

Due to restrictions on numbers, these classes must be booked in advance.

Family Fit South Ayrshire, Prestwick

Family Fit South Ayrshire’s Buggy Fit classes made a return following the easing of restrictions.

The currently take place on Monday and Tuesday at 10am.

Booking is required for the sessions and those taking part are advised to bring layers and a rain cover for their pram.

The Monday class will eventually be replaced by a Family Fit session once indoor restrictions are eased.

Female Fit classes are also expected to start up again in the coming weeks. Find out more on their Facebook page.

KA Leisure Health Walks, North Ayrshire

KA Leisure has resumed it’s walking groups at a number of locations across North Ayrshire.

The Active Lifestyles Team walks depart from The Portal in Irvine every Monday to Thursday.

Groups also leave from Auchenharvie Leisure Centre on Monday and Tuesday, as well as from Vikingar on Monday and Wednesday.

Community staff-led walks take place in West Kilbride, Dalry and Garnock every week.

A new walking group for mums has been set up in Irvine to help them get outside with their babies. Booking is required and those interested should contact activelifestyles@kaleisure.com or call 07483 156181.

Fit Body Farm, Kilmaurs

Fit Body Farm are offering Hyrox classes on Thursday nights at 8pm.

Hyrox is a fitness challenge featuring eight workout stations with a one kilometre run in between each.

The sessions are held at Wheatrig Farm, the home of Scotland’s first Hyrox facility.

Hyrox is the only pay as you go session available at Fit Body Farm, with a charge of £8 for non-members.

East Ayrshire Leisure

A programme of outdoor classes is running at venues across East Ayrshire.

The classes include bodyweight circuits, cardio chaos, HIIT sessions and extreme fitness.

All outdoor classes are bookable seven days in advance and each session is priced at £3.20.

The venues include Stewarton Sports Centre, Doon Valley Leisure Centre, Ayrshire Athletics Arena and Loudoun Leisure Centre. Find the full timetable and book classes click here.
