Following the easing of coronavirus restrictions in recent weeks, a number of kids’ Easter camps and clubs have been given the green light.

Some camps, such as those focused on sport, are set to take place in person, with others able to deliver materials online.

Here are some of the sessions running this Easter:

Easter Activity Sessions, Loudoun Leisure Centre/Stewarton Sports Centre

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

Delivered by qualified coaches, these multi-sport sessions aim to help children make a comeback to activity after lockdown.

The sessions are open, aimed at children aged 5-11 and will run daily between April 6-8 and April 13-15. 

There will be two sessions per day, the first between 10am-11am and the second running from 11:30am-12:30pm.

South West Skills Easter Hockey Camp, Marr College Playing Fields

This camp targeted at pupils from P7 to S6 gives young people a chance to develop their hockey skills whilst having fun and making friends.

The three-day programme begins on April 12, with daily sessions running from 10am-1pm.

This year, the camp is running half day sessions with smaller groups in order to meet Scottish Government and SportScotland guidelines and allow for social distancing.

Participants will have the opportunity to be coached by Scotland players as part of the camp. Find out more here

Irvine Meadow Easter Camps, Meadow Park

Irvine Meadow Youth has teamed up with Rangers to provide an Easter camps for kids aged 3-15 years at Meadow Park

The camp runs from April 12-16, with those taking part split into two age categories.

Sessions will run from 9am-10am for kids aged 3-5, with a charge of £25.

Older children can take part in the 10am-3pm ‘Soccer Centre’ sessions which cost £85 for the week.

School Holiday Multi-Sports Camp, Cambusdoon Sports Club

Hosted by Vision Coaching, this camp allows participants to learn and develop skills across a range of sports.

The camp is open to those aged 5-14, with sessions on football, rugby, cricket, tennis and hockey.

Week one starts on April 6 and runs until April 9. The second week of the camp will take place from April 16-19.

Sessions will begin at 10am and finish at 3pm, with pricing starting from £27.50 per day. Find information on booking here

Triple Act Theatre & Arts

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald:

For the children who are more interested in the arts, a week-long online workshop is taking place from April 12-16.

Those taking part will have the chance to contribute to the creation of a full-length radio comedy show inspired by Scotland’s history.

The workshop is run by Triple Act Theatre & Arts, with sessions led by professional actors Jordanna O’Neill and John Kielty.

A three-hour session will take place each day and anyone aged 8-18 can get involved.
