PUPILS at Lawthorn Primary are becoming a real force for nature.
Last week, they planted a fruit orchard and fruiting hedgerow under a scheme run by The Tree Council.
And they had a helping hand from Linda Tedford from North Ayrshire Rangers Service who is coordinating the orchards at Pennyburn Primary in Kilwinning too.
Linda said: "The pupils were fantastic and we had over 60 trees to plant for the hedgerow and most of them offered to keep working even through lunch to get them all done, I was very impressed.
"This is a great project and to see the pupils plant the fruit trees and now the hedgerow has been brilliant."
