Ayrshire like the rest of mainland Scotland will move into Level 3 of restrictions on Monday, April 26.
This means cafes, restaurants and shops will be able to reopen as well as gyms and indoor sports facilities.
In recent weeks there has already been a gradual easing of restrictions such as with travel and the reopening of hairdressers and barbers.
The key changes from April 26 are:
Retail
- Non-essential shops will be able to fully reopen with precautions including physical distancing requirements, face masks and hand sanitiser in place
- Mobile close contact services such as hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons yet to reopen can resume
Hospitality
- Pubs, cafes and restaurants will reopen outdoors for groups of up to six people from up to six households with alcohol in line with local licencing laws
- They will also be open indoors for groups of up to six people from up to two households but without alcohol until 8pm
- Takeaways will be able to resume normal service, with physical distancing and face masks in premises
Health and fitness
- Gyms and indoor sports facilities, including swimming pools, will reopen for individual exercise, with group activities permitted for under-18s, and all organised outdoor activity can resume except adult contact sport
Travel
- Non-essential travel between Scotland, England and Wales will be permitted, and tourist accommodation in Scotland can reopen subject to socialising rules
Weddings
- Limits on attendance at life events, including weddings, civil partnerships, funerals and receptions for those will increase to 50, with alcohol permitted
Work
- Non-essential work in other people’s homes will resume
Public buildings
- Public buildings such as libraries or community centres can open to the public but it will be up to each local authority as to when
- When visiting you should comply with the physical distancing and hygiene measures in place
Meeting outside
- As has been the case in recent weeks you can meet in groups of up to six adults from six households in outdoor settings
Hospital visiting
- One person can visit someone in hospital
